3 Creative Ways To Start Video Marketing

Video Marketing

Video is one of the most powerful ways a real estate agent can impact their business. But what does it mean to use video as a marketing platform in the industry of real estate? It mean dividing up videos into three distinct areas. First you will use it to introduce people to your brand and your team. Second you will introduce people to your process or the real estate process in general. And third you will give people insight that is specific to your particular niche within the industry.

Intro Videos

An introduction video is simple and to the point. Rem
ember that you should keep your video short and concise at this stage. It is an introduction and if you have been following our Lead Segmentation posts, you know that typically when people sign into your sight they are looking for information. Give them what they want, not long messages about what your past clients are saying and how many letter you have behind your name. (If people want to see what your past clients are saying they will look for them on Zillow, Google, and hopefully a tab on your website) Three critical aspects of an introduction video are your name, brokerage, and contact information. Contact information should also include when you should be contacted – meaning “I can be reached anytime except from 9am – 12 noon.”

Team Videos

Your team should be an easy set of three or four videos, even if you are a new agent. Your team is everyone who is involved in the process of purchasing a home. This should include a lender, an inspector, and an escrow company. Each has a specific role in the home buying process. Each can be give you high quality content to use on your website, in social media campaigns and even in email drip campaigns. For example, once a lead logs into your sight, have a lender explain why it is important to get pre- approved. When a contract on a home is executed, have an inspector explain how an inspection can uncover different things that maybe were not noticeable to the general public. Third have an escrow company explain the process of getting a home from contract to close.

Targeted Information

The third way video will help your real estate career is by providing targeted information to targeted client questions. If you are answering the same questions over and over again, make a video on the topic. Also if you are in a particular niche like short sales or luxury homes, make videos on those topics. These videos serve the clients and leads that are looking for more information on a particular topic. For instance, would you market a $45,000 mobile the same way you would a $2.5 million home? So why would you provide the same information to each potential client. Explain why professional photos are a must on particular properties and why they are not needed on others. Explain the reason you would utilize Craigslist postings or why you don’t think they are effective. Giving this targeted information is exactly what people who are in the engagement phase are looking for.

A few months from Expertise

Videos can literally create a real estate expert in just a few short months. When an agent shoots and produces great videos, they are not only providing information, they are also proving to the general public they know what they are talking about. This psychologically effects people’s judgment. They gain respect with each video and see you less as the latest crop of real estate test graduated and more as a professional who gets things done.
