Social Media Marketing Holiday Tips You Can Use TODAY!

The holidays are here and in real estate this is typically a slower month. Just because it is a slower month in the industry does not mean that you cannot be top of mind in your community. Here are a few tips to market your real estate brand this holiday season.

Tip 1 – write a letter to Santa

We all remember writing letters to the big guy as kids. We would ask for the practical to the outlandish and just writing it gave us a chance to share with our friends. In your real estate career remind people that you are in the business this time of year in a funny non-sales way.website.
A letter to Santa is a great way to do this! Make it funny, make it outlandish, and ask your fans and friends for their suggestions. You will be fascinated with what people come up with. Below is a sample, and to make the image go to this

Dear Santa,

What I would like for Christmas is a Foothills home with a pool, 6 car garage, mountain views on a golf course, stables for my horses, an off road track for my go-karts, fully furnished with an in home theater! And if I must, a low rate mortgage from the great people at Lance & Company, NOVA home loans.

Thanks Santa, I Have been really, really, really good this year!

Tip 2 – Act on corporate holiday campaigns

Starbucks, Macy’s, and Target do a great job over the holiday season with their social media. They typically provide instructions and hashtags for the holiday campaign. To increase your exposure ride these campaigns by posting or tweeting these hashtags during your normal day. As I always say in real estate marketing online; do not sell, share the transactional aspects of your real estate career. These corporate campaigns are monitored by social media managers who will often retweet and share your social posts. This will instantly increase your brand exposure to thousands of people.

Marketing and branding does not have to stop over the holiday season, in fact it is one of the best times to build it because everyone is sharing over the holidays. These tips will help you build your brand this holiday season and into 2015.
