Content marketing will NOT fade in 2015

Content is probably one of the best strategies in 2015 for real estate marketing. Some real estate agents create the content, others pay for it. The purpose of creating content is to add value to the user who is looking for the content. The user finds the content of higher quality and continues to look for more, typically on the same webpage.

Why content marketing matters to leads

Real estate agents who do not believe in content marketing will be hurt in 2015. Blogging is one of the best ways to build quality content online and for agents who are looking for better results this year should start today. The content people are looking for is specific, not generic. This is where most real estate agents fail at such a high rate. People will find your content online and look for even more content which the agent has not provided. The lead then goes back to Google and finds the content they were looking for. This is especially bad if the agent does not put proper calls to action like “contact me for even more information on this at any time!”

What agents can do in 2015

Providing content is often something agents would like to do, however they just do no know where to start. First find the top 3-5 questions that your target market has. For example, buyers typically want to know the process to purchase a home. Simply make a step by step word document and wrap it with your branding and provide it free on your site. Second make time each week to work on it. It can take as little as 5 minutes. If you notice people are asking different questions, provide those answers online. Third, share it on social networks. SEO is not changing, you must provide content to increase webpage hits, however you can increase webpage hits by providing links on social sites. This is a great strategy when you are a member of Facebook groups and people are asking questions.
